My daughter started swimming June 2016 and she has been fluctuating in her comfort level. Some days she is super confident and ready to swim like Arielle. Other days, her spine is tight and she is nervous about venturing out without actually feeling the hand of the instructor on her body to guide her. One task that gives her major anxiety is diving under the 3 ft water and grabbing a plastic ring from the bottom. Usually the instructor has to heavily coax her into diving and has to actually dive with her. But today she dived down deep and grabbed the ring like a champ! When she finished her lesson, without any prompting, she said, "Mom, Mom, I did it! I reached down and got that ring because I am not scared, God is with me!"
Much like my daughter, Christians find it hard to trust God when they can't see or feel his direct presence. When you are in the valley and you can only see the enemy amongst you, it's hard to step out on faith. But also like my daughter, we must remember that God is with us. Even in the gut-wrenching hard times, He is with us. Do not be afraid. God is with you.
I love to share my thoughts. Please feel free to leave comments and join in the conversation. This is a process that helps us both to grow! #devote52weeks
